How to appear on Google: 10 tricks to go out first on Google (SEO checklist)

How to appear or leave on Google?

If you do not have time to read everything, I summarize:

The first thing is to have a web page.
Send the website here to Google, to find out and include it in your index.
Make sure that Google has indexed your website by looking for the address of your page in the Google search box.
Although with these three points you will only appear in Google. No more. But this is not enough. Because it's not just about appearing when looking for the name of your web in Google.

Otherwise appear the FIRST when searches are done related to the services that you offer. Searches that make possible customers who do not know the name of your website. If you're up on these searches, you'll get new customers from Google.

That's what I've been doing for 11 years: getting big and small companies to get new customers thanks to Google.

I will explain how to get up on Google in searches that will bring you new customers (people who do not know your company, nor the name of your website).

"How do I appear on Google?", "How do I sign out on Google?" Or "How do I get my page out on Google?" Are three questions that many customers have asked us. Here I will tell you 10 tricks, which answer these questions.

he text you have below are the basics of how to get out on Google.

I will try to explain it with 10 tricks, which can serve as a checklist, for anyone who wants their website to be the first on Google. Here I summarize my experience, which can serve both for SEO's professionals, and for lay people. I hope that with this you avoid my mistakes in SEO (many :-() and learn from my hits (some have been too :-)), so that you already know how to appear on Google.

I will try to explain how to get out on Google in a more informative way than the 10 factors of the Google algorithm, which were too technical. Let's go for "the 10 commandments to get out first on Google."

How to go out on Google? Following these 10 steps to appear in Google: keywords, domain, landing page, pagerank, outbound links, inbound links, linkbuilding, content, social, local and mobile SEO.

SEO Tricks with Keywords

Choose the right word or keywords (from now on keywords), for which you want to position yourself in Google. It must be a lot of research. For this I recommend using:

A) Google's keyword tool, which shows how many times each search is done per month on Google. Also, it says searches related to the one you have entered, to see which ones are done more and less.
B) Related searches, which shows Google after the first 10 results when you do a search. They can also be viewed after doing a search in "More Tools" (left column below) and then Search Wheel.

Improve Google's web positioning with the Domain

The domain name is the most important in the medium term for SEO strategies (for profane: upload on Google).

If the search exactly matches the domain name, there is a good chance of being the first one in that search.
It is interesting to register domains - if they are free - that exactly match the keyword that interests us.
Also serves a blog (of blogger or wordpress) whose domain is mikeyword.wordpress.com or mikeyword.blogger.com. Although a domain is better than a blog.
This advice is only for new projects. In cases where the domain is already consolidated, it is usually worth leaving the domain as it is, to avoid loss of position in the change of domain.
Positioning on Google with a landing page

Make a page inside our website specially designed for each of the keywords that interest us.

On that page the most important is the title (title tag in html). And more importantly the beginning of the title. If the title is long, the first words must be the keywords.
The keywords must also be on the labels h1, h2, h3 (titles, headlines or large size).
In bold.
In the texts of the links: internal or external.
And in the normal text of the web.
But without going overboard and making spam by putting a thousand times the keyword, because then Mr. Google gets angry and penalizes you ... I say it from experience ;-). It has to "look" natural and not exceed 2% the number of times the keyword appears.
Pagerank and distribution of the authority of the internal pages

In short, pagerank is the importance or authority of each page for Google, and depends on the number of important page links you receive. The more pagerank you have, the more Google shows you in searches, the more times you look at the content on our site and the higher it shows (though not the only factor).

You have to tell Google which are the most important pages of our website by putting internal links.
These pages must be the landing pages we have prepared.
To achieve this, the anchor text is key to the landing pages.
Those anchor texts must contain the keywords of that landing page, but not always be exactly the keyword, so that it "looks" natural and avoid penalties of Mr. Google.
Another form of sculpting pagerank is to upload in searches in which the web naturally comes out in the top 10 of Google, to try to get you in the first position of that search.
It is studied that 50% of the people who search on Google click on the 1st result, 25% on the 2nd and 25% on the results of the 3rd onwards. So being the first on Google is key.
To find out which searches we're up in the wild, we can use Google's Search Console, Ahrefs or Semrush tools.

Outbound or Outbound Links

Links to other websites.

Here comes the theoretical part about the pagerank, to explain it to profanes: it can help to imagine the webs as a cube and the pagerank as the liquid they have inside. Each link to another web is a hole in that cube, which causes that part of the liquid (pagerank) to go to that web and empty our web (our cube). If we receive links from other websites, we get pagerank (liquid) from them and fill our web. If the links are important pages (with a lot of pagerank), we get a lot more liquid. The more outgoing links we have, the less pagerank flows through each of them. It is the continuous flow of pagerank. This is not an invention: behind there is a mathematical formula published by Google, which explains the flow of pagerank. This formula adds a small factor that causes that whenever there is a link (a transfer of liquid) some liquid is lost along the way (5% to 20%).
In addition, there is the Google robot (googlebot), which is an automated program that runs all the web pages, then order and display them when you search on Google (index). Simply put, this robot is following the links to browse the web pages. If you have many links to other pages, the robot goes from your website to others: it indexes the others and it does not look at yours.
And, to finish the theory, the flow of liquid can be understood as flow of visits to the pages. The more links to other websites you have, the more people will go to those websites and leave yours. In addition to Google will index you less and worse, will show you lower in the searches and therefore receive fewer visits. The whiting that bites its tail.
Outgoing links pass pagerank to other pages. From this you can easily conclude that the ideal would be to not have outbound links, but Google sees it as "weird" and looks with bad eyes (penalties). It is therefore better to have outbound links, but few. How many are few? The ideal is to have less than 10 per web, although each case is different and you have to study it separately.
For the outbound link structure it is key to know "nofollow friend": nofollow is an html tag that tells Google not to follow that link. That is, at first sight you see a link, but for Google that link does not exist.
Incoming Links for Google Placement

Links to our website.

Google is becoming more and more semantic, so it is interesting that the links are from web pages similar to our theme: domains that have our keywords in the domain, or from within articles that have our keywords in the title or in the text.
Also important is the anchor text (link text) of the link that comes to us. It contains the keyword for the page in question, but not always. It is also necessary to have a pattern of received links that is natural or, at least, it looks like.
Google penalizes your website if the links come from link farms (pages with too many outgoing links), penalized pages (sex themes for example), or are links purchased ... Mr. Google penalizes links purchased or leased: whenever Of what they are bought

How to position my website with Link building

Get links to the web itself.

Send press releases on a regular basis with one or two links to our website. Here you have a lot of websites, to send press releases.
Exchanges of links with webs of similar theme: mainly interests if the other has more pagerank than you.
Ask for links: sometimes it works. He does not already have it, he has to try bad.
Provide RSS of the web: if someone copies that RSS in your web, we already have more links.
Make controversial articles, so people link them, comment, menee, tweet, etc.
Write in forums to put links in the signature.
Write comments on blogs
... and a long etcetera of techniques in which I will not enter.
Good Content to Sign Out on Google

Many say content is king ... then the queen should be the SEO, or rather, the president of the government
Now without joking: Offering good content is important, because it makes people link you in a natural way.
If the content is updated frequently, Google visits you more, you index more and you go out more in searches.
Social SEO to appear on Google

Increasingly, Google's social networks are a good source of traffic (regardless of Google).
Over time, they will become more important.
Open an account on Twitter, Facebook and Linkedin and leave messages with links to your website. These three social networks are the most important right now.
Interested in having followers, friends or contacts of quality. It is more important that they be of quality to be many. It's similar to the pagerank I said before. We could call it personal rank.
How to position my website Local and mobile

More and more people are searching from the mobile, so we have to offer a mobile version of the web, to get up in searches from the mobile.
Putting our business in Google Places or Google My Business, to go up in local searches (we appear prominent in the mapta that Google shows in some searches), and also in searches from the mobile.
... and after doing all the above: wait. There is no type system "click here and you will be the first one in Google". Google takes a while to upload your website ... sometimes months and sometimes years, depending on the competition in the searches for which we are trying to occupy the top positions.

Hire an SEO expert or SEO agency: prices

Here's my ad space: If you want to know how to go out on Google and you need an SEO expert to check the Google position of your company, or your reputation on the internet ... I'll be happy to help you from my company. Here's how our positioning work on Google and PRICES are explained.

Already notice that we do not work for free. If you want to pay only € 200 for this job, you can hire a black hat SEO (an "expert" in positioning that makes techniques penalized by Google), and be penalized thanks to their bad arts :-).
